2. Pumpkin : cut into cubes thoroughly washed and well drained, preferably almost dry
3. Oinions (medium)- 1no. chopped
4. Black cumin seeds - 1 tsp
5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
6. Red chilly powder - 1tsp

Wash thoroughly the fish pieces. Sprinkle 1/4 tsp turmeric powder , 1/4 tsp red chilly powder , 1/4 tsp cumin powder , salt on the fish pieces.Mix them well and keep aside. In a wok heat 5-6 tsp of oil and heat it. Add pumpkin cubes to the heated oil.Sprinkle little turmeric powder and red chilly powder over the cubes and fry them.Once the cubes are almost fried add salt to it.Keep aside. Kindly note not to add salt to the cubes in the beginning because pumpkins have the tendency to become soft by releasing water when salt is added to it.Now fry the fish pieces in 8-9 tsp oil in the wok and crush them to pieces.Once they are fried carefully keep them aside. Heat oil in wok and add black cumin seed, green chillies and chopped onions.Once the chopped onions are lightly fried add garlic paste and stir the mixture till  the onions become golden in color.Add turmeric powder , red chilly powder and cumin powder and stir them till oil separates and the mixture is fried.Add the crushed fish pieces and stir well so that the spices are adhered to the pieces.Add hot water to this and bring to boil.Do not pour excess water.Once the water starts boiling add the previously fried pumpkin cubes.Simmer the mixture till you can see the pieces of fish and pumpkins.Avoid excess water.Add salt to taste and cook in light flame for few minutes.Add coriander leaves for garnishing. Enjoy with steamed rice.
