Yummy Chingri
Yummy..Isn't it? A beautiful tasty homely dish from my sweet hubby.It was a surprise for me. But really it kept me licking my fingers. A perfect SUNDAY lunch.
Ingredients:
1. Prawns : 400gms (medium sized)
2. Onions : 2 nos.
3. Ginger : one inch in length
4. Garlic : 2-3 cloves
5. Cardamon: 2-3 nos
6. Cinamon : 1 medium sized
7. Curd : 200gms
8. Turmeric powder: 4tbs
9. Cumin powder: 3 tbs
10. Red chilly powder: 3 tbs
11. Tomato puree : 3-4 tbs
10. Rice Barn oil/mustard oil: 3 tbs
11. Ghee: 1tbs
12. Sugar: two-three pinch
Cooking steps:
1. Make a paste of onions, ginger and garlic together and keep aside.

2.Sprinkle half tbs turmeric powder,one-third tbs cumin powder, one tbs red chilly powder on the washed prawns and marinate it for next 30minutes.
Marinated Prawns
3. Heat oil in wok. When the oil is hot enough drop all the marinated prawns into the oil and fry them till they turn brown.Keep them aside.
Fried Prawns
4. Heat oil in wok. Put cinnamon,cardamon,green chillies and fry them for 10 seconds.Keep stiring. Add 1 bay leaf,1tbs turmeric powder,1/3rd tbs cumin powder and 1 tbs red chilly powder to it.Keep stiring for next 1-2 minutes.. Now add 200gms of curd.Keep stiring. Now add 3-4 tbs tomato puree to the mixture.Keep stiring till you get a dough of all the spices. It may take upto 10minutes.
5. Pour half glass of water and keep stirring. Make the mixture to boil. Add salt to taste.
6. Once the mixture boils add the fried prawns.
Boiling of ingredients
7. Cook it for next 15-20 minutes.
8. Now add one tbs ghee . Keep stirring.
9. Add one or two pinch of sugar.
10. Serve hot with Basmati rice and enjoy.
